HELP! restored iphone 3gs with ipad bb thinks it has a sim in ,but it doesnt

hey guys i really hope you can help me . i hace a 3gs with 4.3.3 with ipad baseband . i for some reason , i updated to ios 5 , but i could pass the activation screen . i dont have the original sim . well , i downgraded the iphone a couple of times because i got some errors . now its working , but , after i restored and hacktivated , it says that its searching for signal , but i dont even have the sim in the phone ! i created a custom ipsw with sn0wbreeze . i installed simmanager , and i tried to get my contacts from the sim i have but i looks like the iphone wont even read my sim . does anyone know what can i do ? i hope someone can help me !

nevermind . i solve this . idk how but i did it lol . just put iphone on airplane mode and then normal mode , that way now was able to read my sim . still had to re jailbreak and re install ipad basebad with redsnow .
