Default Fixing the 1 bar issue (iPhone 4, 01.59.00 baseband) without ultrasn0w

I have an iPhone 4 running iOS 4.3.3 with a 01.59.00 baseband on AT&T with and AT&T SIM. I was using ultrasn0w to take care of the 1 bar problem until I moved to NYC. For some reason ultrasn0w makes the phone have a really hard time getting an IP and I keep getting the dreaded "Could not activate cellular data" error. Phone was jailbroken using Pwnage.

I'm now thinking of downgrading iOS so I don't have to use ultrasn0w at all. How far back do I need to go? 4.3? 4.2? What features will I lose?

Also, is there anything else I might want to try to get the issue fixed?

    Thanks.

There is no 4.2 , downgrade to 4.1 if you have the blob.

It sounds like u don't have the right data plan for ur iPhone sometimes AT&T messes up ur account and u loose it I would call and see I would also install sampreffs and see if u can revert lockdown to stock and reactivate the phone In iTunes

The plan is fine. Called AT&T to make sure. I reactivated the phone to see if that would help, but the problem persists. I'll probably just revert back to 4.2.1.

Can I hacktivate my phone even if it's activated through iTunes? Would that possibly help solve the problem?
