    Default 6.15.00 means unlocked forever?

If have updated to iPad Baseband (6.15.00) does that mean your device is basically able to be unlocked forever? Like for example if iOS 5 were to get a untethered jailbreak does that mean I can make a custom firmware for iOS 5 update my 3GS to iOS 5 and still keep 6.15.00 baseband, doesn't that mean my iPhone is basically unlocked forever?

Probably, but not necessarily. The iOS version has to accept that baseband version or something needs to be tricking it to believe it's the baseband version it's looking for. So far it looks pretty good, but it could be something that will be a pain down the road.
