does jailbreaking an iphone with 4.3.5 not unlock it?

heres the deal. I have an iphone 4 running 4.3.5 firmware (bought it off ebay did not update myself) running 4.10.01 baseband. i jailbroke it using redsn0w. my question is, does this not unlock the phone to use with t mobile? I have a mini sim card from t mobile that has my account registered on it. it says i have one bar of signal but it does not say t mobile or anything. I apologize if this has been asked before. i could not find any reference to it.

Currently only Gevey sim will unlock iphone 4 baseband unless if you have 1.59.00 bb which can be unlocked by Ultrasn0w.
