iphone 3G on 4.3.5 ( <---says itunes updater) need unlock

I have an unknown carrier iphone 3G that I'm trying to unlock. Cant tell the firm or BB but
itunes supposidly updated to 4.3.5. What options do I have? Gevey sims are only 2.2 or lower
and cant see any guides for 3G...Help pweaze.

If it is a 3G then then the highest firmware it can have is 4.2.1. Google for f0recast. That can give you the firmware and baseband that are on the phone now.

If you have updated to stock 4.2.1 , your baseband is not unlock able, to unlock jailbreak with redsnow 0.9.6 b8, once jailbroken run redsnow again but this time choose only iPad bb update, you need to download iPad 1 3.2.2 ipsw to be browsed to.
Install ultrasnow from Cydia to unlock

Thanks for the help thus far, but I'm still stuck.
Forecast says its on 4.3.5
0.9.6rc8 is failing me, (can't find b8, rc8 is the same build)
Where to now?

If you are on 4.3.5 then you have a 3GS, not a 3G.
