Trying to unlock with gevey sim but it keeps detecting new sim and should connect to

I'm trying to unlock an iPhone 4 using gevey ultra. The phone keeps on saying new sim detected and must connect to iTunes. please help. How can I activate the phone? Got the phone with 4.2.1 and no shah blobs saved..

Ran into this yesterday for the first time. Only solution I could think of (since customer only had shsh for 4.3.5 and up) would be to do a tethered jailbreak and hactivate it. I would like a better solution though.

What I did was I took out the new sim to get out of the connect to iTunes screen. Then installed Sam from cydia. Then put in new sim. Worked fine and I was able to do the 112 process.

Basically, Gevey sim unlock only on activated iphone.
