Unlock iPhone 4 w/ firmware 4.2.1 and baseband 3.10.01??

How do I unlock my iphone 4 running firmware 4.2.1 and baseband 3.10.01?

Also, I have this blob that I saved but I dont remember if it was for this iPhone or not. Is there a way for me to find out?

there are two ways to unlock 3.10 baseband.

1. use a hardware unlock like Gevey (simplest way)
2. find a CSR from euro carrier ie 02, orange and ask them to IMEI unlock (very difficult)

you best option is #1

in case you havent seen the o2 thread, its pretty much impossible now to get the phone unlocked through any carrier other than your own

I have ATT so I dont care about the unlock but when I go to sell my phone in a couple of weeks I want to be able to sell it as unlocked. Does the Gevey option involve a chip on the sim card? and do you have to always keep the chip there or is it a one time thing?
