unlock help wanted with Iphone 3gs 4.2.1 using redsn0w.

hey guys, well first of all thanks for taking the time to read. Heres the deal, im having trouble unlocking my iphone 3gs firmware 4.2.1 and baseband 05.15.04 im using redsn0w 0.9.6b5 and have downloaded the correct IPSW and when i try and process it i get a box asking whether i have the old or new iphone 3gs. it gives an example how to find out using the serial number but the example of the serial number they give is nothing like my serial number as have letters and the example doesnt have. hope someone can help with this, all help would be much appreciated. cheers..

Other than that, the only benefit is getting Custom Boot logos (Old Bootrom only).

On 4.2.1, redsn0w 0.9.6rc18 is the best version for iPad BB. It's required to unlock since 5.15.4 is unlockable.
