i try again and disable antivirus this time, not having much luck, when i use the 4.2 ios my antivirus pops and tells me a trojan was just removed, cant understand some of these people who host iphone files and then password protect them to force you to fill out crap survey forms, and theres so many dead links, trying to find ios 4.2 and the corrisponding redsnow is difficult

Use redsn0w to get into a 'special pwnd-DFU' mode.

I managed to get the phone working again but its the same as it was 4 days ago, the only way i could get it working was to go back to ios 4.3.3 and ipad baseband, its showing the network of the sim but there are still no bars showing and the phone will not make calls, everything else works ok, i installed cydia and ultrasnow which installed ok, what next????

Were you successful at loading 4.1? Then successful at reloading the iPad BB 6.15.00?
This method helped ONE (that I know of) user when no other method worked.
The 'key' for that user was reloading the iPad BB after the phone worked on iOS 4.1 and had no-service.

Just cant seem to downgrade to 4.1 i done everything in tutorial, i got the snowbreeze 4.1 done then went to itunes to do the custom 4.1 restore, itunes started the restore and the snowflake came up on iphone screen then itunes hung on itunes is prepairing phone, then itunes gave message 1603, but the phone was already in dfu mode by using ireb, ive spent about a week now trying to sort it out
seems like im stuck with my phone on 4.3.3 with ipad baseband

dakes2 ..... please do not use iREB, use redsn0w instead!!
Execute Tiny Umbrella, start TSS server.
Sn0wbreeze to build the 4.1 firmware,
Then use redsn0w 0.9.6b6, check one (1) box, 'enter pwned-DFU mode',
shift/click/select custom 4.1 firmware w/iTunes.
Install ultrasn0w and test, If 'No-Service" continue......
Use redsn0w 0.9.6b6, check one (1) box, 'install iPad baseband'.
reboot and test.
Done.

OK now we seem to be getting somewhere, i have managed to downgrade the phone to 4.1, ipad baseband is installed but its still as it was before showing the network provider (Orange) but there is still no bars showing and the phone cannot be used

Now it's on iOS 4.1 ... yes?
Did you install ultrasn0w? yes?
Assuming both answers are yes, continue ....
Did you reinstall the iPad 6.15.0 baseband using redsn0w as I advised in a previous post ??!??
Use redsn0w 0.9.6b6, check one (1) box, 'install iPad baseband'.Last edited by Mes; 07-25-2011 at 01:23 PM.

Because it's showing the network, the problem is now a different issue from a 'no-service' problem.
It's possible the phone is working properly ....
Is the iPhone blacklisted? Can you try a different carrier's SIM ? It might be worth a shot

i think this phone has been blacklisted

Could be
Not sure, but I believe the only way to tell is trying a different network.
