Can this phone be unlocked and jailbroken?
hH! I purchased a used 3rd iPhone that was supposed to be unlocked and jailbroken. It has the 4.2.1 software version and the baseband is 5.15.04. Now the man I took it to says it cannot be unlocked and jailbroken. Does any of you know of a way to unlock and jailbreak the phone? I bought it for my wife and now it is only an ipod substitute. Can any of you tell me if it can be done and more importantly, how it can be done?

You can jailbreak it with redsnow 0.9.6rc8 and install the ipad baseband on it if you want to unlock. You will lose GPS doing this though.
It is a iPhone 3G you have right?
