Default Preparing my iPhone 4 for genius bar help!
Hi, so right now I am in a tight situation. My complimentary 1 year warranty is expiring in 10 days and there are a couple of things that i need to get fixed or replaced before the warranty ends. (hopefully they replace my iPhone all together)
    - There is a gray pixel on my display
    - home button is unresponsive
    - mute/unmute slider is loose
I know that if i bring the phone in, they are going to give me an iPhone that is updated to the latest firmware and baseband.. But i need an unlock because i am on T-mobile. I am also trying to get it done before Apple releases 4.3.4
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

they WILL upgrade your baseband. you're SOL.

if the issues really bother you, sell the phone, phones with minor damage like yours actually don't sell for much less than a normal used phone. then buy another unlocked phone.

    ^^^DO NOT DO THIS.
They will void your warranty if you bring them a jailbroken phone. you would be out of your mind to think they will replace a locked phone, slightly damaged, with an unlocked phone (a factory unlocked phone costs hundreds of dollars more)

You will get a locked phone back if you warranty this one. And yes, it will need to be un-jailbroken if you want to return it. If these issues bother you that much, you could also accept the locked phone they are going to give you and get a Gevey SIM for it. My locked iPhone with fake Gevey Pro I was using previously seemed to have better signal and battery life than my Ultrasn0w unlocked one on 1.59.00 that I am using now.

Don't worry about replacement locked iPhone, just use Gevey sim and you will get a brand new iPhone that works on T-Mobile.
