Havtivated apple unlocked phone

Ok so I recently bought an unlocked iPhone 4 from an apple store in america 5th avenue(yes unlocked they are selling them the last two weeks
The problem is with impatience I hacktivated it as I had no micro sim
Probably should have waited
So anyway I went to tmobile store today to get sim but the assistants say the phone is acting like it's a locked to a network phone
Any ideas ?
Should I just restore I really don't want to

I would restore, by Hacktivating it may have caused the issue.
You need to cut the T-Mo sim and put it in before you open iTunes and activate it that way.
I also have a factory unlocked phone and that is the way Apple tell you to do the activation.
Hope you didn't get scammed, fingers crossed..........

By hacktivating the iphone doesn't know what carrier belongs to even tho it is unlocked. I am pretty sure of this. So as Cadi said before I'd suggest you get a restore done before taking it into apple.

Yeah i restore it and it activated itself
So if anyone has this problem it has to be restored
