Ugh, Ebay and new iPhone

Hey guys, I recently got a 3GS off ebay... ( Ios 5 looks too good to be true!!! )

Anyways after coming from a 2G, this is a totally new ballgame. This 3gs is the new bootrom and has 06.15.00 baseband...

The question is, How do i update my iPhone and how would i do it, conscidering the next update will be iOs5! I have a feeling this is going to be a huge pain but oh well, Ios5 is totally worth it! -- looking at the last 2 betas.

Question 2-- I have an Ipsw built from sn0wbreeze which has the ipad 06.15.00 baseband built into it with some apps and hacktivation built into it. Will that restore normally in itunes or will there be some other step to do with tiny umbrella etc...

If you want to restore the custom ipsw must not contain the iPad baseband. You won't have a functional phone unless you're using a custom fw without the iPad baseband packaged in it. That goes for any firmware upgrade or restore you wish to perform in the future.
