UK O2 official iphone 4 unlock / jailbreaking
I have an iphone 4 on O2. I got the text saying that it had been officially unlocked by o2 and to plug it into itunes. At the time I did not have access to another micro sim but my daughter now has one on 3 so i put it in the phone, plugged into itunes and got the emergency call only interface. Is this because my phone is jailbroken? Will I have to un-jailbreak it to unlock it? Thanks

Thanks Simon. So I presume when I restore I will lose the jailbreak and it will restore to 4.3.3. Can I get a tethered jailbreak for 4.3.3.?
I suppose it will delete anything installed through cydia so I will have to re-install everything? Thanks again

You can do a backup in itunes to save your itunes related stuff. Anything from cydia will have to be reinstalled. Make sure you are activated and up ans running first before re-jailbreaking though. You can use redsnow 0.9.6rc18 to jailbreak untethered on 4.3.3.

Thanks Simon. Now I just need to figure how to get my contacts, which I inadvertently wiped from my MBA, transfered from my iphone to the MBA. I stupidly thought it would be as simple as a sync !!! Should have known nothing is ever simple lol.
