3GS on 4.3.3 baseband 05.15.04 unlock?

I recently restored my 3GS on a custom ispw using sn0wbreze making it 4.3.3 and the baseband 05.15.04

When i insert my sim, it says no service. Does this mean I need to unlock the phone? If so, how?

Is that the official carrier of your iphone? If so then when you were making your custom firmware you probably chose to activate it. You need to make a custom firmware without pre-activating it so that you can activate normally with your sim card.

Yup done that. Now my Optus one works but another carrier does not, does this mean it is locked to Optus?

I would assume so. You can always ask optus if they will unlock it for you.
