Iphone 3g baseband 6.15.00 No Wifi Need To Unlock

I am not sure if the wifi was broken prior to the baseband upgrade but it searches for a second and then quits. I need to unlock the phone. Its currently on 3.1.3 baseband 6.15.00, jailbroken with Spirit currently. I appreciate any help with pushing the unlock through. I can obviously type in the settings.

Put them in cydia's autoinstall folder with something like ifunbox.

I would like to thank you so much for your tip, as I was suffering exactly the same problem as Jacumia.
My iPhone3G with 3.1.2 bb6.15.00 jailbroken and unlocked suddenly ceased catching wifi yesterday, and I had almost given up before reaching your post here.
For your info, what I did is:
1) restored & jailbroken again with 3.1.2: could not activate Cydia because of no wifi. (I don't know why, but somehow Cyder2 doesn't work on my PC. So I was not able to use 3G because there is no place to write down Celluar Data i.e. APN, Username, Password.
2) Downloaded the two files you linked above and installed thru iFun box. --> there appeared where to write down the Celluar Data SETTING -- GENERAL -- NETWORK.
3) activated Cydia on 3G and installed Insomnia.
Now Wifi is working fine!!
