Default Stuck at activation screen, need to unlock for tmobile

I have a T-Mobile SIM card installed and of course it says its not supported. So I can't do anything. RedSnow doesn't have an option to unlock it but I remember the first time I jailbroke (don't remember which tool) it did give me the option to unlock. I'm using a custom 4.2.1 firmware with the iPad baseband. Anybody know what I should use. Just to be 100% percent clear, I cannot get into the phone at all, no SSH, nada. Also, would putting in any random AT&T SIM card be able to activate it? As in, can I just borrow a friends SIM card for a couple seconds, activate it, give it back, get ultrasnow, unlock the phone, and then my Tmobile sim card will work?

I believe if you make a custom firmeware using PwnageTool it will activate your iPhone aswell, from there you canvuse redsn0w to install the iPad Baseband, then unlock using ultrasn0w

the thing is, i already have a custom firmware. do you think i should just restore it again?

oh wow all i had to do was install the ipad baseband again. I just assumed it was already on there so I didn't need to do it.
