No way to unlock?

Hi all,

I'm headed to Europe for a few months and was planning on taking my iphone 4 and getting a new SIM card there. I have baseband 04.10.01 and version 4.3.3. I did read the "check if you can unlock" thread, so I know that it's not yet possible. Two quick questions - is there a way for me to downgrade the baseband and version to make this possible, or do I just need to wait?

There is no way to downgrade the baseband of the iPhone4. But you should be able to use the Gevey Sim to enable your iPhone to work with other SIMs.

since your going to be in europe, perhaps you can try the O2 approach to do a permanent IMEI unlock? here's the thread
