iphone updating

Hello:

newbie sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.

i have an iphone 3g on version 4.0.1 with a modem firmware of 05.13.04

i do have cydia & ultrasnow 1.2.3 installed.

ok Itune wants meto update to just says 4.2.

if I do update will I lose my ultrasnow unlock or is ultrasnow 1.2.3 an unlock for version 4.2 ?

Do not let iTunes update you to 4.2! You will lose your unlock.

You must use a custom ipsw to load 4.2.1. Pwnagetool on the Mac will build one for you.
