    Default Unlocking 3GS 05.16.01 4.3
    My wife recently got an iPhone 3GS--had 4.0 OS on it. I told her not to upgrade but she did it anyway, so now she has 4.3 OS with the 05.16.01 baseband. We are moving to another country so it has to be unlocked. Is that currently possible with a 3GS on that OS/baseband? Her computer is a Mac and the phone is not currently jailbroken.

    It is possible, but only by updating your baseband to the iPad baseband with redsnow. You will lose GPS if you do this though.

    You should also update the iPhone to 4.3.3 first also before doing this.
