redsn0w or sn0breeze
I have a 3gs baseband 5.14 and 4.1 firmware. I want to jb it but not unlock it for now as I do not want to upgrade to the ipad baseband. If the unlock in the future becomes available for the 5.14 baseband I would like to be able to unlock.
Should I use redsn0w or sn0breeze to jb and preserve the baseband?
is there pros and cons of either of these programs? Thanks for your help.

In the how to here: iClarified - iPhone - How to Jailbreak Your iPhone 3GS Using RedSn0w (Windows) [4.3.3] for redsn0w it says in step two to use itunes and upgrade to 4.33. If I do that won't that upgrade my baseband to something higher making it harder in the future to unlock? I am hoping to keep my 5.14.02 baseband in hopes there is a unlock soon. Am I correct that if I use sn0wbreeze I can keep my baseband?

Pwned dfu is different from standard dfu. You'll need to use redsn0w dfu mode option.
