Thread: Ultrasn0w 1.2.3 and AT&T

is a discussion within the

Has anyone using AT&T updated to iOS 4.3.3? Is the problem with Ultrasn0w 1.2.3 still there (broken MMS and Visual Voicemail)? There was also a battery drain on ultrasn0w 1.2.2.

    Default Ultrasn0w 1.2.3 and AT&T
Has anyone using AT&T updated to iOS 4.3.3? Is the problem with Ultrasn0w 1.2.3 still there (broken MMS and Visual Voicemail)?

There was also a battery drain on ultrasn0w 1.2.2. Is that also there?

I'm still on baseband 01.59.00 ultrasn0w doesn't seem to play nice with official carriers.

I updated via snowbreeze 2.7r2 to 4.3.3, and installed Ultrasn0w 1.2.3 on my AT&T locked iPhone 4. I called my iPhone and let it go to voicemail.

This time, unlike when I was on 4.3.2, the VVM was delivered in a very short time afterwards.
As for MMS, I cannot say, as I have that turned off.

For 4.3.2, I was advised to take out the SIM and replaced it, which worked for as long as I didn't turn the phone off. After that, I had to repeat the process. Yes, Ultrasn0w in 4.3.2 is the software Gevey.

I like my signal bars working, and besides, under 4.3.3, everything that I use, signal bars & Visual Voicemail work with US 1.2.3.

If he keeps the lower baseband then he needs to install ultrasnow to fix the signal bar issue on 4.3.X

Correct, as I need it unlockable for foreign travel.

Ultrasn0w did for me on 4.3.*, but reseating the SIM clears it up until the next reboot, although it survives resprings. Without Ultrasnow everything worked fine apart from the signal bars from iOS 4.2.1 onwards

Keeping an unlockable baseband comes at a price I guess.

Ya but ultrasnow fixes the signal bar issue. I think it may just be cosmetic though so I could live with that.

Oh, I dunno. I thought ultrasnow was the only fix.

It may be cosmetic, but it can be used as an indicator of when you may lose service. A radar detector would be pretty useless if it only told you that a speed assessment device is in use somewhere, without letting you know if you were moving closer to or further from it.
