I don't know, it isn't really backed up by anyone from the Dev Team or Jailbreaking community. That doesn't mean it doesn't work.

intresting
where exectly did you buy from ?
Will a cloned sim mean it is illegal and you could be prosecuted by your carrier ?

purchased from Unlock iPhone 3G, 3GS Baseband 5.14.02, 5.15.04, 5.16.02 w/ SIM Re-write Method | BeijingiPhoneRepair.com
and yes possibly "if" they found out,
but i'm not sure if they can find out unless you clone your card more than once and use them at the same time in different places
(maybe some 1 with more tech exp can answer this better)
i use ready to go
also id say no more illegal than jailbreaking, unlocking it yourself, gevey option ect...
have a look at the video in the link
this is only a new option and is NOT confirmed for all countries yet!
i am just purchasing it and testing in ireland

49.00 and there out of stock on pre order =]
it's seem Plausible. the site saysso i guess the program save you that step of 112 or what that chip does.A special software is then used re-write these information and the same embedded program used in the Gevey Turbo SIM onto a new SIM card.
also thanks for the post zyrl. made a good morning read and watching! Are You Not Entertained! Are You Not Entertained! Is this not why you are HERE!!!!"

The reason why I am sceptical is that brand-new commenters #2 and 3 instantly swooped in to expertly respond or question this thread but haven't followed up on it, nor have commented on any other threads. Plus, the wording of one of the responses in this thread is unusually "salesman"-ish.
Hopefully my street-smarts are wrong on this.

Scam
seen way too many of these. Of all the years the iPhone has been out, only three methods of unlocks have ever existed. Software (free, thanks to the devs), turbo SIM (Rebel, Gevey, etc. though Gevey is the only up to date one as of today), and carrier/factory IMEI unlocks.
The only ones you should pay for is Gevey or for a carrier that is willing to do iPhone unlocking. If youre going to pay and it isn't a turbo SIM or it isn't an actual carrier unlock, you should be really careful...

this sounds like a scam. as far as we know, that phone is a factory unlock phone claiming to have used some method to unlock it. i wont believe it unless the originator of that video provides the service for free to one of the mods here.
