Is there any way for me to unlock my iPhone with the subject firmware/baseband? I am currently on O2 and jailbroken with redsn0w

You would have to update the baseband to 6.15.00. Which is the iPad baseband. Which may break your GPS.

You could just update to 4.3.2, use the newest redsn0w, and in redsn0w choose to update the baseband.

Or ask O2 to unlock your phone. If they can't then back to option 1

Thanks Annie. If I updated the baseband and GPS did break on the phone, would it still work with the tomtom car kit or would it be dead altogether? Could I downgrade if it broke?

Some people claim their GPS works still or that it works but is buggy. I am convinced that they rely on Maps to tell them when they should be using Navigon or TomTom to confirm. I believe the GPS will for sure break, in all, meaning you won't be able to use TomTom or Navigon or any true GPS app. Some people may disagree but many people I've worked on this with have told me their GPS broke.

Thanks very much for your replies Annie. Just checked O2 website and they do it for free but it takes 14 days. Guess I'll just have to be patient and wait lol.

Yes you should wait an unlock by O2 is way better than the baseband upgrade.

It will be a permanent unlock when done through a carrier.
