3) Need to unlock my iPhone, 5.15.00 baseband
4) I don't know what SHSH's are but i have clicked the button in cydia saying "make my life easier"
5) I have a 3G.
How would i go about unlocking this phone? and if so what would the risks of this be? I know that i would be able to upgrade to 6.15.00 baseband but i don't know exactly what the risks are and if i should do this or not. Any Help would be appreciated.

I realize this is an older post but it looks like nobody helped you. Well in case you didn't get it figured out, using the iPad baseband means a couple of things. GPS can break and you can never restore to stock iOS 4.2.1 and up (you can on any below that though).
To do this, simply upgrade your phone to 4.2.1, run Redsn0w 0.9.6rc8 (if you can't find it get rc12, it'll work too) to install the iPad baseband and jailbreak at the same time by also selecting "Cydia"
