    Default Updating unlocked Iphone 4

I am currently using 01.59.00 Baseband and Firmware 4.0.2. I would like to update it to a newer firmware maybe 4.2.1 instead of 4.3.1.

My question is what program should i use to preserve my baseband and updating it to 4.2.1 & JB?

    Any help is greatly apprecaited!!

    Thank you

Use tinyumbrella or sn0wbreeze, sn0wbreeze can make a custom firmware that preserves the baseband. Also tinyumbrella preserves the baseband do you know if you have your shsh's saved and is there any reason you want to go to 4.2.1?

you must use Tinyumbrella to save SHSH then start tss server on tinyumbrella and restore the device..

    just follow these steps

btw.. its the same procedure with 4.2.1..

with no soft unlock in sight for anything higher than baseband 1.59 i m still on 4.0.

if unlock is important, id say just stay on your current ios version.

its not worth the hassle of setting mms , facetime, etc again either...
