can't unlock iphone 3g

I have a iphone 3g(previously on 3.1.2 jailbreaked n unlocked) which I recently updated to 4.1 baseband 05.14.02 bootloader 5.9using restore option from itunes.
I tried with redsnow 0.9.6b5 to jailbreak n unlock but rednow gets stuck for hours on uploading ramdisk data.
same with limera1n and snowbreeze too.
My phone stuck connect to itunes logo,and when I connect to itunes it says insert sim to activate iphone.
I dont have the original sim.

Run redsnow in windows xp sp2 compatibility mode.

done with successfull jailbreak with redsnow,but ultrasnow unable to unlock my iphone on 5.14.02.I came across on the internet it isn't out yet.is it true?how much time i have to wait..stuck again.

ultrasnow doesnt work on that baseband. You could update to the iPad baseband using redsnow but you will lose GPS if you do.

dont mind about the gps..but will it make my sim work?how do i update to ipad baseband and which version?

Get the new version of redsnow 0.9.6rc12. That will have an option to update it for you. After doing that ultrasnow will work to unlock it.

No downgrade back to iphone baseband is scary n no apple ipsw only the custom ones.I would wait for the baseband unlock instead.
