Default Gevey SIM: Can't get past airplane step

After pressing accept, waiting, dialing 112, waiting, and then turning on airplane mode, I never recieve a SIM Failure or No SIM Card Installed message. It just sits there.

I suspect this is due to the fact that in order to activate I had to jailbreak the phone. (iOS 4.3.1)

Would restoring to stock 4.3.1 and using a blank AT&T SIM to get past the activation screen make this thing work?

    Thanks!

Hey dude, just so you know, I'm in the same situation, did all the steps as mentioned, reset all settings, even enabled 3G and cellular data and input my carrier's APN but no luck. Please update this thread when you have a fix, I'll be doing the same cheers

I find that sometimes if you don't wait enough for all the steps, it won't work.

For me, I noticed that I had to have the signal bars come up after the accept message, wait 15 seconds, then dial 112 for 2 secs, and then turn on airplane mode for up to 45 seconds. Once the "no sim detected" message pops up on airplane mode "on", then I switch it back on and get "sim failure". After that, everything is good.

see, the problem is that I do all that, but at the waiting 45 seconds part, I wait...and wait...and wait and nothing ever happens.

you need to watch applenberry's youtube video..

after you dial 112 and call ended, you need to 'turn on' airplane mode before the 'no sim card' appears.. (if not, repeat the process)

now, after you turn off airplane mode, 'invalid sim appears' don't do anything, wait for it to search for a signal.. that's it!

    1. Your sim card is fine and you're off to a good start
    2. Forget about counting.
    3. Click Accept
    4. Go to your phone app
    5. When you see one bar, dial 112 and hang up immediately. (Don't count)
    6. Go into Settings and turn on flight mode. (LEAVE IT ON UNTIL YOU SEE THE POP-UP "No SIM card installed"
    7. Click "OK"
    8. Turn Flight Mode off.
    9. Now be patient and just wait.

Do these steps exactly. Don't count, or browse your phone.

Also, you had 3g turned on. Make sure it always stays off.

    Cellular Data ON

    Data Roaming ON

    Good to go...

Can you please try the gevey sim to another iphone 4? If still does not work, maybe your gevey sim is the problem..
