Unlocking Advice Please

Hi Guys
I have an iphone 4 on 4.0.2 jailbrocken and unlocked I can get the phone unlocked officially by my service provider (O2) for £15
Do i have to restore to an un-jail brocken locked status before i can get O2 to officially unlock the phone for me.

If you have service with O2 and they say they will do it for a fee then you can.

I don't believe you'll need to do anything with your phone if you don't take it in to them. They'll just take your payment and use your IMEI for Apple to officially unlock. Nothing will be physically done to your phone so technically they don't even need to see the phone.
