? unauthorized official Factory Unlock available?
Everyone wants a factory unlocked iPhone, right? Sure we do

In the last few hours, a flood of tweets and a web site claim to offer factory unlocks. They also claim other web sites offer the same service, abeit more expensive. Confirmations / successes have been posted.
Sound good? Yes, but be careful...., be vary careful.
Know the hidden issues:
1. First it might just be a scam. It might be real. I don't know one way or another. It sounds legit, but "If it's too good to be true ......"
2. According to Apples web site iPhone: Troubleshooting authorized unlock issues
"Note: Restoring an iPhone requires the unlock to be reapplied to the iPhone. iTunes displays the "unlock complete" message above after the restore completes."
3. If your device is added to Apples factory unlocked database by unauthorized means, makes perfect sense it can be removed by Apple. The next time you restore --- it's no longer authorized and now locked. If you updated the BB (because if was factory unlocked), you are not stuck and Ultrasn0w will not work.
I consider this highly suspect until our dev-team, MMI moderators, and other 'reliable' sources confirm it works and works forever. I suggest you do the same.

Seen this pop up a few places. Good advice Mes until we can get some confirmation that this does indeed work and the legality of it.

I dont know how to make it seem any less fishy! I think you say that because you have never had it done but I have discussed this with western and have been given the go ahead I am willing to give out my number and my skype info I dont know what else I can do! I even offered to go thru ebay!
But I am 100% Legit if u have any ideas on how I can further display my authenticity Im open but I can only do so much over the internet!

Actually sounds pretty legit. The imei gets put on the apple server so there for it is factory unlocked takes up to 24 hours.
He uses paypal there for the transactions are secured so if it doesnt work just file a claim.
Does cost 175 dollars or so but i mean for a factory unlock phone and never having to worry not to shabby

What i am saying is that it got explained to me and this guy has been very respectful and has not gave me a reason not to trust him. He is posting up his skype so easy to contact him.Last edited by Cowboy; 04-11-2011 at 03:08 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
