2.10.04 Preserver or Upgrade?

I've been taking care not to upgrade in fear of losing my existing 2.10.04 BB and now debating about upgrading to 4.3.1 with Sn0breeze to preserve it but....

Is there any benefit? Is there a better chance that an unlock will be available for 2.10.04 over the newer BB's now? If that key breaking thing Musclenerd is working on would work on 2.10.04 will it likely work on a BB for 4.3.1....??

Unlock for me isn't critical as it would just be handy when traveling in the States from Canada to use my phone with a US SIM to save on roaming fees.

Just preserve it, so if you need 02.10.04 you have it .
