Will there ever be an iPhone 4 unlock?

Ok so it's been god knows how long since we've had a real unlock. Did musclenerd and the dev team just say **** it and give up on the i4 unlock? There's still thousands of people waiting.

And don't just tell me to use gevey sim because 1.) it's illegal. And 2.) it's not a true unlock
