can I unlock and jailbreak 3gs,4.2.1, firmware 5.15.04?? I want to use on tmobile and can't find a guide anywhere. don't have to stay on 4.2.1 would upgrade and do whatever but would like to preserve the baseband.

I've only read that i would have to use the ipad baseband and would then be stuck for any future upgrades. Can you please point me in the right direction to do this it's my daughters phone and it's just been sitting for months.

only the iPad baseband will unlock that right now unfortunately.

hi guys i have same problem as above except iv updated mine to 4.2.1 with baseband 05.15.04. how do i unlock it with the ipad baseband?? its currently stuck in the apple logo sim card invalid screen. any help would be great thanks

You can use redsnow to jailbreak and update your baseband if you want. Ne aware you will lose gps doing it though.

Yes, gps does not work right after installing the iPad baseband. Any navigation app like Tom Tom will not work properly.

I have a 3GS runing the same as above! I dont want to lose the GPS so I wont upgrade to 16.15... can I upgrade to 4.3.1 and get any luck ulocking it?

Nope, iPad baseband is the only way to unlock that at the moment
