Confusing news on 3Gs and 4 unlock

Hy guys,

Anybody could explain this to me? (to us. or it's just me not understanding?)

It actually says that I'll be able to unlock the 3gs on the new 4.3 baseband 04.26.08. What the hell is this about? The new 4.3 bb on 3gs is some 05.16 thing, isn't it?

Any explaining is much appreciated (also about the true goal of this fixer).!

I'd like to use the opportunity to ask some explainig bout the system of baseband number creating.

I know that we can't downgrade the basebands, cause only a baseband with higher number can be installed. My question is: what's higher means here? Which part of the six digits has to be higher than the previous one?

I also ask this, because, in the case I don't need unlock any more, but stuck on 06.15, I'd like to restore to a 3gs baseband (and get my gps back). But I don't know the baseband number creating rules, so I can't tell wether I can go from 06.15 to 05.16 or not...
