    Default NO SIM after restore

I have a 3G that before I got it was jailbroke and unlocked.I do not know what it was Jailbroken with or what baseband the phone is on. The guy I got it from tried to reset it or clear it, not real sure what he done but it was stuck on the apple logo. I restored it with a custom 4.1 firmware and got an error 1015 code. I then kicked it out of recovery with iRep but know it's not reading a sim card. What do I need to do from this point.
    Thanks

It was in emergency call mode. I jailbroke it with RedSnow and got in activate mode still with no sim. I opened the phone and fount the problem the sim slot is broken I'm going to have to replace it some how
    If its worth it.

    Run Cydia or Icy
Please add the repo htttp://repo666.ultrasn0w.com to Cydia or Icy.
That last “o” is actually the number zero “0”! If you use the letter “o” you’ll get an error.
Search for ‘ultrasn0w’ in cydia or icy and install ultrasn0w
    Reboot your iPhone 3G
T-Mobile USA users should disable 3G before using ultrasn0w
    Enjoy
