Just got this Iphone. Its 3g version 4.1 and modem firmware 05.14.02(which i hear is the hard one to unlock) but anyways i just need to know what steps should i take to unlock this phone so I can use my T-mobile Sim card please help. Also tell me the negative side to doing this thank you.
p.s my computer is also running windows

You would have to update to the iPad baseband to unlock it. The cons of this are that there is no coming back from this and that it will break your gps.

Or download fuzzyband from cydia and see if you can downgrade the baseband. It may not be likely but very possible.
