I would pay them money for the unlock. The problem is they can't keep up pls tell me if I wrong!!
They have all the time even when the beta1,2,3 before the 4.3 the official version came out. To work it out but they knew that they can not unlock them basebands. But they said hey we found a crash @sherif_hashim to exploit the baseband but @MuscleNerd no no I'm working on 4.3. I think they got to much on there plates right now. Work on the baseband that people are stuck on. Work on how to downgrade the iPad 6.15 for the ones is stuck. Man I wish I knew how to crash, exploit. I do love the dev team and I thank them always.

Don't think so. There just shouldn't be unlocks for every bb change, that's too much work. Only the major fw updates get unlocks.

I would imagine 4.10.01 will have an unlock some time.

There best bet would be to say that they hadnt found anything when they did and keep it quiet. as people will twist wha they say and around and then you have people believing that unlock will be out just after release of 4.3.

wish they could find a way to block updating once you unlockedyour phone then 99% of the people wouldnt be upset that unlock is not out .

    just my 2 cents

I understand people who get devices that are already on a firmware/baseband that can't be unlocked and that can't be helped. But people who "accidentally" update is different than those who "must" update bc of problems with devices.

    1) always save your SHSHs if possible

    2) don't click "ok" when iTunes prompts for the update. It's your own actions that allow the update. I don't believe there's such as thing as "accidental" upgrades.

No attack on anyone in particular, just saying some things happen and that's just a part of life.

Personally, I'm giving it all a try! I'm not bad with coding, crashing, exploits, not anyplace as good as these guys! I know that! I bow down!

But, my goal, hit the higher basebands, so people stuck at lower, can upgrade for unlock.

I know IP4 was an may still be priority one, but I'm also hearing directly that they may wait till the next IOS for 4.3.1. Reason, I guess Apple is talking of another quick release.

For the others who r stuck with the 3Gs, seeing how it's last in the "in service" models for apple. (meaning 3G and 2g are done for iOS upgrade, witch I'm sure someday will be able to get the newer iOS running better on these models, but users should stay away rite now) maybe start our own sticky, and collaborate together.

I don't know how many other coders are here, that are not Dev's, but maybe it is time we start to "test" and play with our own phones.

Yes, some will say forget it! Some others maybe into it.

I'm just wondering if a slew of us could put our talents together, and start to figure this out!? It may take 20 of us working together, compared to there 1-2, but at least we can say we gave it a try!?

Who knows, if we start showing promising work, maybe one of the DEV gods will throw a bone our way!?

I'm just saying! Again, not trying to offend!

My experience, 17 years working with computers! I'm an electrical god, as some say. I have been coding for about 5 years, lil more. Scripts, and some other goofy ****. How ever, my uncle is the type of guy, who can sit at a computer, write a usefull program, and sell it on the open market to buy his son, and family nice ****.

I'm going to contact him, witch he does love his Apple products! And see what he has to say, and offer! I know he's working on another "social" type network, but maybe I can get him to join the cause! And maybe help release some of the Dev's stress now.

    All I'm saying, it's worth a shot!

Pm me, email me. Please dont hate! I'm simply trying!

By simply testing, and writing code. Finding glitches in the software, you can shove software through.

There is nothing simple about it.

Considering the amount of personal time and energy each member invests into finding the exploits that they do, then packaging them up into an extremely user friendly software package made available to the general public free of charge in a consistant and expediant manner, throwing in a "customer care and support" service that is unrivaled and unheard of and simply unbeatable by any other company, big or small on the planet, it absolutely beguiles me how anyone could even consider that they have 'lost their touch' little alone express it.

I think people are so ungrateful !
If it weren't for the dev team and others alike
(most of which have proberly got full time jobs, families, ect, ect, and spend most if not all there spare time doing this stuff)
None of us would have jailbroke/unlocked iPhones/iPods/iPads/AppleTV
Then they dont just release it with a massive complicated tutorial, they package it into an extremly easily to use package, then release it on windows and mac, then do it all for free.
I just think people that are moaning should just shut up and give credit where credit is due.
For people that want to have a go themselves, Go for it !, and i hope you have success, but i think one thing you will learn is just how much work these guys put in.

    Just my opinion.

^Bee121, there is always someone doing the work somewhere, if not of the dev team, obviously somebody else would have done it im sure... although i agree with you people cannot demand an unlock from them as they are not on anyones payroll.

True but I think you are talking about those who are leaving bad comments
On there twitter. I give a lot of credit to the dev team and the chronic dev team.Maybe they paid the way for us but if they stop, it will be more dev teams that be will come out.True they do it for free but like Geohot said " its are right if we want to jailbreak or unlock" I'm still going to a official carrier soon the iPhone 5 comes out I will be them lines at the apple store. And all my iPhones are unlock thanks to the dev's

Yeah they are appreciated for there work if it ever comes out. Please stop trying to make it sound like your not frustrated that you can't unlock your phone. Everyone wants to know what is going on. I don't spend time on here much anymore because I have all but given up hope that this will ever happen. It's all the same ********. You have guys like you defending someone you don't even know and you have these other guys demanding they hurry up. I am frustrated I have had an unlocked phone from the OG phone yet now I have been waiting months for this unlock. I hate waiting but I am willing to a certain point. If you can't figure it out in a year then I will move on.
