I also used to charge less and only former customer continue to get old prices, but new customers get the new prices. I've only jailbroken one iPad so far and it was a breeze.

The iPad is just like any other iDevice when jailbreaking and restoring?

I do mostly unlocks (which of course means jailbreaking too). But I also repair screens, LCD's and sell iPhones too.

Yep, the one I did was on 4.2.1, used gp rc6 to jailbreak. It worked the same as as the guys iPhone 4.
Since you mostly do unlocks and you use pwnagetool im assuming since you have a mac have you tried unlocking without adding cydia?

So to answer my question: even if I have the 5.15.X baseband, on my 3GS and the 3.10.X baseband on the 4, there is absolutely no way to unlock at the moment?
I know that carriers can unlock on any baseband...If I helped you in any way, please click on the
button!

5.15 and 3.10 basebands cannot currently be unlocked. Yes carriers can unlock, but att will not unlock. Some European carriers will though.

+1
Carriers actually factory unlock so if you're not able to software unlock, check with foreign carriers. Although some might require you to have or have had service with them.

My location is in Canada, by the way.
Canadian providers will provide an unlock if particular requirements are met, otherwise they will not unlock my phone.
I'm just going to assume that the people at those little cell phone boutiques at the mall are the same as me and depend on the baseband in order to unlock! If I helped you in any way, please click on the
button!

There's always the iPad baseband method for the 3GS, although it has some consequences to it.

+1. Consequence = broken GPS
Don't go to the cell phone shops. They do exactly what we do here on MMi.
Carrier is the way to go if your carrier will do it.

I believe the carrier unlock is only possible with the carrier it is locked to. I have an ATT locked phone but I am in the UK, however I don't believe that O2 could unlock my phone.

Hm, so do you think that's AT&T phones only or do you think if you said hey, I have a *insert Canadian Carrier Name Here* iPhone can you unlock so I can use it with your service, your current carrier would do it?

Has to be from the carrier the phone is locked to.
