Bricked iPhone?
Had an unlocked iPhone 2g....
Replaced it with a new iPhone and was passing it to my daughter. Her sim card worked ok, decided to clear out my pix and music and reset from the settings menu. Killed it dead... Managed to find original O2 sim card (miracle in itself) and now have an iPod touch, but would like to use it as a phone.
We have apple macs - no ready access to pc What do I need to unlock? Already tried f0recast pwnage and redsn0w to no effect...cannot seem to find boot neuter as suggested by some...
iPhone 2g
04.05.04_G
3.13 (7E18)
Can you help, point me to the correct guide/ tutorial?

on the iPhone, simply visit jailbreakme.com
slide to jb
let it do it's magic
then when that's done, let cydia load and do it's stuff
then download ultrasn0w from within cydia, then repsring and your unlocked

Where do I find BootNeuter, please? Anybody got a web address?
...worst case scenario I need to port a number over to O2 and at least the phone should function with it's official carrier?

SIM card in this iphone does not appear to be supported
Hi there
can anyone take this forward, please?
Have Cydia installed so I believe I'm jailbroken?
f0recast advises that device is jailbreakable, unlockable and untethered...
BootNeuter is installed and indicates
Bootloader 4.6
Neuter ON
FakeBlank OFF
Baseband unlock ON
Device will work as an ipod touch.
As soon as I put in my Orange SIM, screen goes to
>DIFFERENT SIM DETECTED- please connect to iTunes<
on doing that, itunes opens with message
>SIM card in this iphone does not appear to be supported...
>insert sim that came with iphone or visit supported carrier store to receive replacement sim card
