hey trying to restore to 1.0.2
what is the restore file called?
i downloaded the restore file and unzipped it and when i push option+restore i cannot find the file to CHOOSE to start the restore.
any help?

He can, depends on the situation. If he has 1.1.1 then he can't go back. Lower than 1.0.2 and hes all good.
Save the file onto the desktop or someplace you can look for it. I can't say for sure but the file extension should be .ipsw. Look on Nate True's site, I think he still has it up or on this forum. It would be helpful if I knew what file extension it was asking for

I'm on a Mac, I have the iPhone restore folder(1.0.2) but which file is it? Is it the dmg file and if so which one? I have the 1.0 fw and trying to update it to 1.0.2. Thanks

So I downloaded the 1.0.2 restore file that was posted above, but its in .zip file.
Should I just delete the .zip before I restore it to my iphone? I am confused about this part.

i had a new iphone outta the box. i wasn;t sure what firmware it had but i got lost on the step where you manually upload the 1.02 restore file because i didn;t know which file.. so i risked it and it ended up being already 1.0.2.. ; >
unlocked 4 four phones yesterday

hi, can you help i can not unlock my phone.Do you keep the sim card during the full procedure? i also ot lost on the updated file for iphone? how can you know if it is 1.1.1 or the 1.0.1.2?
