Help! OS 4.2.1 and Carrier Not Available.

Hello,

I just recently upgraded my Iphone 3G to the newest firmware and now my carrier is not working, It only have a single signal bar and when I go to Settings >> General >> About: it says: Carrier Not Available.

Before I upgraded my Iphone the firmware was 4.1. Now the firmware is 4.2.1.
The carrier I use is Simple Mobile.

Any further information just ask.

i just change the firmware.

Version: 4.2.1 (8C148)
Carrier: Not Available
Model: MB048LL
Modem Firmware: 05.12.01

Yes I installed ultrasn0w,
do you think i should restore everything. and make my iphone a clean jailbreak,
because right now i have installed like 18 sources that are not in cydia repository,**mod edit: repo removed**

and a whole lot more.

so what do you think?
