So yesterday my iphone took flight from the top of my car!! Oh it kills.. well I hurriedly got an iphone 3gs 16 gb today and do currently have it jailbroken via greenpoison... i tried to unlock via cydia and ultrasnow to no avail. it is 4.2.1 and 05.15.4. it does show as if it is trying to unlock but not totally. PLEASE help me out, im going nuts as i used simply mobile. thanks in advance btw im using windows vista.

You've got an iPhone 3G on 5.15 so the only way to unlock is to update the baseband to iPad Baseband.

Warning: iPad Baseband disables GPS and you will get refused at Apple for service on your device.

Download redsn0w 0.9.6 rc8 and iPhone 3GS 4.2.1 firmware from iPhone Download Blog

Just use redsn0w 0.9.6rc8 because it is more current. Once you have used redsn0w to install iPad baseband, use greenpois0n rc6 so that you will have an untethered jailbreak.

thanks for the info but after the restore now i can access the phone due to having a simple mobile sims card. .ALSO as i was going through the process redsnow quit working?? please help

okay this is where i am at , redsnow quits working , i did install greenpoison and still locked at activation.. friggin hell... its also asking me if my 3gs is newer which i have NO IDEA

okay i got around the lockscreen with an old at&t sims.. redsnow continues to stop working at reboot?? im so frustrated

had to run as admin and go thru 98 compatability.. ill post after im done
