iPhone 3Gs

Hello, ive found iPhone 3Gs 32GB.
Its password protected.
I know that i could restore thru iTunes, but first i wanna check what kind of Firmware this iPhone has, and eventually keep the same baseband, to unlock it.

Any ideas?

If it's baseband you want to preserve just make a custom firmware with PwnageTool 4.2 (Mac) or Sn0wbreeze (Windows), make sure you select baseband preservation mode, then just put it into Pwned DFU mode with Redsn0w and restore with iTunes and your current baseband will be saved on 4.2.1z
