AT&T GoPhone SIM in iPhone 3G 4.2.1?
Hey Guys,
Sorry if this has already been posted - I can't seem to find it.
I have a iPhone 3G running 4.2.1 jailbroken (thanks to redsn0w 0.9.5b5
). It's not activated, just has no SIM right now. Can I get an AT&T GoPhone and take out the SIM and use it in my iPhone, and if yes, are there any conditions?
Cheers,
Derek

I don't think you will have A problem with it. I needed a new sim card for an old iPhone 3G that I am wait ting to unlock so I can sell it. I just went in a AT&T store and explained the situation and asked for a sim. They just handed me one of the new ones in a card.
Cheaper then buying a go phone.

OK, but can I still use a GoPhone card in the 3G without any problems?
And welcome to the forums!

Sorry I thought I replied to this. From what I have found online yes and no. Some people say the sim can be locked to the GoPhone. Some say it shouldn't matter.
I haven't tried it personally. Good Luck

Yes it will work just go to an att store and ask for a prepaid sim. Don't buy one that comes with a prepaid phone. It works trust me. But DO NOT tell them you have an iPhone. Say you have some basic phone at home
I used to have a 3G iPhone on prepaid. The phone will not have any problems at all you don't need to unlock or anything.
