Upgrade to baseband 6.15.00?

Hi, i have a 3gs running 4.2.1 and baseband 5.15.04 but the imei is blocked by the carrier O2, can anyone tell me that if i ugrade my baseband to 6.15 from 5.15.04 can u unlock this with ultrasnow or anything?

yes you will be able to unlock with ultrasn0w

You will be able to unlock with ultrasn0w but you wont be able to make or recieve calls unless you use the phone abroad The blacklist makes the phone non useable in the UK regardless of it being unlocked or not

Thanks for the quick reply guys,
So i still wont be able to use the phone because it is blocked rather than just locked to o2.
Basicly it is no good anymore as a phone? Do u think it will be worth selling as blocked phone as it can still be used as ipod etc?
