Advice please? Just got a used 3g on same network - how do I start?

Hi!

Apologies for sounding so dim guys... but want to check I am doing everything right?

I have just bought an 11 month old 3g in perfect working condition which is simlocked to orange. I am also on orange so... is it really just pop my sim in and away I go like other phones?

Also, how do I set up the phone with itunes? my cousin was telling me horror stories of apple locking the phone and things... soo.... how do i activate it so they know it is now mine and will continue to work properly? Obviously I will want to download my own apps and things??

Since you are on the same network then you most likely wont need the unlock. If the person didn't already restore it then that would be the first thing. Restore it then after it is done it will go through the setup screen in iTunes to get everything on your account and setup for your iTunes account.

Thankyou! To restore, do I plug into the computer 1st & an option to do so pops up or do I go to phone settings and click restore to factory settings like on a regular phone before i plug it in? M x x

Plug it into your computer. Open iTunes and it will have the phone listed on the left side. Click on it there and you will see option in itunes to restore.
