qucik answer to a quick question

hello i have gotten a iphone 3gs looking to jb and unlock it. it is running 05.15.04 with a version of 4.2.1 (8c148) can this be jb and unlocked? i saw you have to upgrade to 6.15? is that true and can it still beunlocked. any infromation would be great thank you

you can jailbreak 4.2 version. but for the unlock u have to have 6.15 or else u have to wait just like i do for my iphone 4 they say its on the 28th Feb. but who knows ?

ok so i can jb it thats cool. is it easy to update to 6.15? will it mess up my iphone if i do this i read it saying you can't downgrade from it but i really dont care about that i just want to unlock it.what other issuse are with 6.15? feb28th isn't bad

Gps issue so far... To update your baseband,use the latest redsn0w and for your untethered jailbreak, use greenpoison RC6..

No one said anything about February 28th. That's pure speculation. We still need 4.3 GM and then the 4.3 final release and then maybe an unlock. Between all of these events there could be a few weeks.
