Help| iphone 3g locked and cannot be unlocked

Hi !
Im trying to unlock my iPhone thourgh Redsnow , last time my iPhone got unlocked I got into red snow , Did " Install IpadBaseBand " and BAM , it worked !
Now , when Im trying to do it , when red snow says "done " my iphone has a dark screen , nothing happens , nothing moves , and my iPhone is locked for like about a month !
Please , help me

Did you update to newest firmware and what is your current baseband?

My firmware is 4.2.1 , and my current baseband is the default , 5.xxx I guess , please help

You said you updated to the iPad baseband. Is it on that baseband or not?

I dunno , and I dont know how to check , Cuz I cannot reach "settings " beacuse my iPhone is locked , is there any other way to unlick my 3G iphone ?

Do you have an idea from where can I get a normal link for iPhone 3G 4.2.1 Custom firmware ? everything is slow or getting me errors ...

You can either get a custom 4.2.1 firmware that doesn't include the iPad baseband packaged in it to shift+restore to, or you can get a stock 3.1.3 and shift+restore to that. Upon receiving error 1015 on 3.1.3, kick out of recovery with TinyUmbrella.

If you want to stay on 4.2.1, you'll have to use the custom firmware, you cannot restore to a stock 4.2.1 firmware with that baseband version. If you have a Mac you can make the custom fw yourself. If not, you'll have to find it online.

We cannot direct you to a custom firmware due to legalities. You will have to search on your own for one.

You must remember that if you upgrade to the iPad Baseband then your phone will be stuck on the iPad Baseband, even downgrading your iPhone won't get it off of the iPad Baseband.

Make custom ipsw using snowbreeze 2.2 on a win PC. Just remember loads of rpts that gps is broken on 4.2.1. if an issue, maybe you can go to 4.1 instead with a custom version.

my modem baseband is already 6.15
If I upgrade with no custom firmware [ from felixburns ]
than my iPhone is locked ..
If I upgrade with custom firmware, he's still locked !
anyway ,thats not my primary problem now ,
no matter what kind of IPSW I insert to my Restore , it always gives me Error 1601 !
My iPhone gets white screen , and a error , it sux so hard ..

help please !

When you create a custom firmware you must go into expert mode with Sn0wbreeze and select "activate" to avoid being stuck at the emergency call screen after restoring.

To avoid error 1600, you must use Redsn0w 0.9.6rc8 and browse to the stock 4.2.1 ipsw with Redsn0w and select pwned DFU mode only. Then do the restore to custom fw.

hi.. i am newbie also w/ this iphone problem. i just update my iphone 3g OS 3.1.3 to the higher firmware w/c is the OS 4.2 tru itunes. after that my fon stuck on the emergency call mode and asking for the simcard w/ pin that i dont have to unlock it. can anybody help me with this? i think i do have the same problem w/ vaknintal1. the thing is i dont know how to explore my fon about that baseband, etc. thanks in advance.
