Questions on prepaid SIM card / wireless for trip to CANADA

First of all, I'm not sure if this is the "correct" place for this thread. If not, please move it and I apologize in advance.

I will be traveling to Victoria, BC, Canada this summer for vacation. I've never been out of the US without my iPhone 4. What is the best way to go about this? Should I buy an international plan/sim from AT&T, or should I buy a plan/sim from Rogers (or other Canadian provider)?

Btw, I am jailbroken and unlocked.
