Hacktivating, Jailbreaking and Unlocking iPhone 3GS 4.2.1?

It's a dumb question but what is the hacktivation ? I received my i4 for Xmas and i never call my Carrier for this phone. Is it this ?

thx but i cant open my iphone 3gs. i cant restore it. it gives me 1015 itunes error everytime i try to restore it.i know how to jailbreak it once i open my phone. heelppp guyss! !

Did you Try with redsnow ? Or Try with tinyumbrella to exit recovery mode.

With redsnow you Will have to put in DFU mode to put your ipsw.
